Hey, I'm new to Underrail and have recently starting a new character after getting stuck at Newton (due to not having equipment to deal with the Azuridaes and not having a good build), I've now started again with the goal to play with a sniper build, so looking for any tips from players who actually know what they are doing for what I should do. If you wanna go with it for flavor, go nuts. Let's Play Underrail. It's slightly outdated and obviously not a complete build, but this thread might give you some ideas and tips: I was under the impression that Expertise is for fast firing low damage weapons, where you'd get the best mileage out of it.
